Barack Obama Cancel to Attend APEC Summit in Bali

Had decided to attend, the president of the United States (U.S) Barack Obama sure did not attend the Summit forum of Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) 8th in Nusa Dua Bali, Indonesia. Certainty that Obama delivered directly to Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono by phone on Friday (04/10/2013). John Kerry, the U.S. foreign minister to Indonesia was appointed to represent him.

Previously, Obama first decided to cancel a planned visit to two countries in Southeast Asia, Malaysia and the Philippines regarding the crisis in the U.S that forced the government to take Government Shutdown. Chaotic U.S budget ended with the closure of most of the U.S Government activity for the first time in 17 years. When faced with a similar problem, U.S President Bill Clinton had canceled a trip to the APEC summit in Osaka, Japan, in 1995. As reported by Kompas.
